Report Cards and a birthday !

Jessie got his 1st report card of the year. With him changing school and moving to a new town, I thought that it was going to be a problem with his school work. But it didn't affect it at all , which is great! Makes me feel a 100 times better. The marks are great, pretty much all B+ and A's. Same has the last school. The only comment that keeps coming back is that he is too shy and that he doesn't speak up enough ... My son don't speak enough ?!?!? I had to read it a couple of times to make sure, cause around here , we can't shut him up !!!...lol.. He talks in his sleep and he sleeps with his eyes half open just to make sure that he ain't missing anything !..lol This morning , I was in the kitchen and I could hear him talk in his room , that's what he was saying:" I don't think that I can run the business without you !" What is that about ? Maybe he has some plans that I don't know about !

Jess also had to do his family tree. So, I called my grandma Genevieve in Quebec to find out my grandpa's birthday and come to find out that it's today . I never met my grandpa Fernand, he passed away when my mom was 14. I saw some home movies of him that my mom has and some pictures but that's it. My mom speaks very highly of him. He would've been 75 today...

We're back to Spring !

It's a beautiful day here ! I swear Spring is back, but not for too long. The weather is supposed to change by Friday. Snow and the whole works , how exciting ! Not much going on around here. Davin is working afternoons for the next 2 weeks ,so it's just Jessie and I at night. Which makes for a pretty quiet evening. Last night was the last one of Prison Break until January 22ND. It was a good one ! God, I love that Wentworth Miller...lol.. They're taking all my good shows away, 1st it was Lost , now Prison Break ! There's only 3 shows that I watch religiously. Those 2 and Grey's Anatomy ... Next they're going to take that to !! That's about it, off to do some yard work. It's too nice to be inside ! Later !

Happy Feet

We went to the movies last night and saw Happy Feet. Of course that was mine and Jessie's pick. We thought that it was a good movie, on the other hand , not sure that Davin liked it that much. It's pretty much a musical movie.Theirs a good message in the movie also.Alot of singing and dancing. Not really Davin's thing ! ...lol.. Oh well, he got over it, he's still alive. I got our Christmas decorations for outside and Davin will be setting them up today after work. I got a farmer that comes to the cafe to bring me some bails of straw. Since we live on the lake, in the winter the wind is really strong. So, most people around here put bails of straw at the back of their house to break some of the wind. Since our house has patio doors at the back and big windows, we really have to put those out there. Now, I have all the lonely cats in the neighbourhood sleeping on them !!...lol.. We decided to get Jessie a new PS2.Their is no way we can find a PS3 and the price of them is retarded ! We were going to buy him an Xbox , but that means we have to buy all new games. Since he already has over 60 games for the PS2, we're sticking with that. His current PS2 is getting old and it's not playing all the new games. I think that I might give that one to my sister, so when we go to Quebec, we don't have to drag the whole system !! That's about it for us. Today is laundry day and Jessie and I are going to watch some Christmas movies to put us in the spirit ! Later !

1 month to go !

Can u believe in a month from now it's going to be Christmas ? It's like summer here today ! Great day for putting up lights ! Davin is working, hopefully he'll get to them after work. Carrie and I went to the mall yesterday and when we got there we realize that it was midnight madness, it was so busy ! We didn't even do half the stores ! The good news is that I'm done the shopping for the girls , I got some stuff for Jessie. Most of his presents are ordered online and it's free shipping this weekend , so it's great. Now, the only thing that is giving me a hard time is Davin's parents. They have everything !

Well, I'm off . Jessie and I are going to do some shopping here in town and going to get some movies ! Have a good weekend !

New !

After a couple hours ( almost 2) of putting this thing together, we got it ! I should say Davin got it, he put it together all by himself. He likes to work alone better , wich is fine by me ! Jessie is really really happy ! That's about it for us around here . Work has been really busy, wich is a great thing. Tomorrow I start my Christmas shopping with Carrie. She's picking me up after work and we're off to Windsor. The boys will have they're relaxing night. That means playstation and pizza !

Old Friend

So, last night Davin drops me off at the grocery store. I'm walking and I see the back of this person. I thought I know that one. I walked up to the person , tap on the shoulder and it's J.P !! My old friend from High School. I should say the 1st person that ever talked to me in Ontario...lol...Him and his wife Colleen live in Windsor now , just bought a house.Anyways , it was just weird. We made plans to get together really soon. J.P and I always meet somewhere , some how. Last year I went to see Def Leppard in concert in London, ON. We ( Carrie, Tammy & I )pull up to our hotel and who is walking in front of it, J.P. Talk about coincidence !

I don't have to go to work this morning , but I was still up at 6am. My boss has to go out of town tonight and there's no one else to work. So, she's working the day shift and then I have to go in at 2pm until close. Which is between 8-9pm. I hate working nights, really really hate it ! I like my day shift so I can hang out with my boys at night. Oh well, they'll have to come and visit me at the Cafe!

In other news, we're starting our Christmas shopping on friday. Lights are going up outside this weekend, but the tree won't be up until the 1st weekend of december. Since we're getting a real one, I want to make sure that it's going to last.

I'm too old for that !

We had a great time last night, but now I'm feeling it today... I just want to sleep. We started pretty early last night, the dinner was at 5 and cocktail hour was at 4pm. Let's just say that by 6pm , we already had 4 bottles of wine done and a couple of beers.We had a great table, Me, Tonya, Tammy , Mike, Gerry & Serge. They put all the loud ones together...lol...At 8pm we were taking the bottles of wine from the other tables. We had a great time. Sang a little bit of Karaoke, dance a little and then by 10pm, I was ready for bed ! No one else was , so we left the reception at around 12am and all of us went out to the bars. By the time we got to Megan's house , it was 2 am and I was dead tired ! I still am today , but it was all worth it. I got to see everyone, Kristie looked beautiful and Vance didn't wear shorts to his reception !!! The pictures didn't turn out that well, something wrong with my camera. I'll try to fix it and post them later. Not right now, cause I'm going to bed !!! later !

I'm tired......

Ok, I am dead tired right now and the day has not even begun really. Got my hair done, I don't like the top that I bought the other night for tonight. So, now I have to find something else. I have a closet full, but nothing that attracts me.. Don't u hate that ?? I want to sleep !! I can't because I got my hair done and it's going to ruin all the hard work that Brandi did ! Davin is not coming after all , since he has to work tonight at 11pm. He's just going to drive me there and then come back home and then come and get Jessie and I tomorrow . It's alot of driving , but what can u do, we only have 1 car ! So, I'm off to pack some stuff and I'll post some pics tomorrow of the reception !

TGIF

I am soo glad that it's finally here ! I was supposed to work on Saturday, but now I don't have to. We talked yesterday and she said that she don't want me to get sick of the job ......lol... So, now it's official, I work monday to friday. Davin & Jessie are happy. It's cool, cause for the 1st time in all my life, since I've been working anyways, I'll be able to do stuff on the weekends ! You don't understand, it's amazing !

Jessie is leaving for the weekend... It's good that he's going to visit his grandparents , but it's going to be quiet around here. I like having him home. I better get used to the fact that he's taking off here and there. He's going to be a teenager some day and he won't want to be around mom and do stuff with mom... God, I am dreading that time. I won't be cool anymore ! Not that I am really , but to him I am...lol...

We went shopping last night. I got myself a new outfit for the reception Saturday, Davin got a new coat and Jessie got a new pair of low cut boots. We looked around for a bit, but it was soooooo hot in there. Jessie looked like he was going to pass out. We came home right on time for me to watch The O.C! I loved that show, so happy that it's back !

Where to start !?

Has you can see , my Christmas shopping list hasn't gone down yet ! That's because I ain't mentally ready to go into a store and buy presents.... I don't like Christmas shopping !! I know what I'm buying everyone, so it's just a matter of going there and getting it. It won't be this weekend , we have another busy one on the way. Jessie is going to spend the weekend at his Grandma Bonnie's in Chatham. So, we're driving him there on Friday night after school. Saturday we both have to work. I figured that I would work since Jessie won't be here and it's extra cash. Saturday night we have to go back to Chatham. My friends Kristi & Vance are having their wedding reception. They got married a couple months ago and now they're just having a big party to celebrate the whole thing. It should be fun ! Sunday I think that I'm going to be sick from the drinking the night before. The last time that I went out, was almost a year ago. So, yeah , I'll be sick...lol

Busy Busy !

We had a busy weekend after all. Friday night we decided to rent movies and order pizza instead of going to the movies. I think that we were all pretty tired. We put the movie in at 8:00 and I think that I was sleeping on the couch at 8:05...lol... According to Jessie and Davin , the movie was pretty good ! Little man , no clue, maybe I'll watch it when I get home from work today. Saturday it was raining out and we didn't feel like staying home. So, we went to Chatham. I went to visit my friends and Davin went to visit is. Jessie and I went to the restaurant and then we went to spend the afternoon with Megan and Michael. It was fun .We went shopping at the new Giant Tiger and I loved it. We had a Giant Tiger when I lived in Trenton , I was a big fan !By the time we got home we were all tired !!...lol... I don't think that getting at 5:30 am for all last week did me good ! Sunday , we helped Davin's sister Colette move. So , we drove to Corunna , which is like 10 minutes from Sarnia. On the way back we stopped at Jeff & Carrie's to see the little guy Sean. He's getting so big !!! That was pretty much it for us ! We didn't get to Cosco for the sale, but it's alright. Well, I'm off to get ready for work, another week is coming !! Later

Bonne Fete Marjorie !!!

Tomorrow is my Goddaughter's birthday, the big 6 !! Time flies ! I still remember the day my sister called me and told me that she was pregnant and that I was going to be the Godmother, I was so excited. I love that girl soooooo much , it's not even funny. I don't see her often enough , but I talked to her has much has she wants to talk. Sometimes, she don't like to talk on the phone, too busy !!....lol.. They had a birthday party for her last weekend and she got my present and loved it. I can't wait to see her, just a couple more weeks !

This weekend looks like a busy one. Tomorrow night is movie night. We tried to go to the movies with Jessie once a month, we call it family date night. Saturday, we're helping Davin's sister, Colette, move. She got a new job in Corunna, working for OBG, the big colt plant. She decided to move there, no more driving for her. Sunday Cosco is having an open house , so we're going ! Gotta love Cosco ! Later !

I think that it's going to be a long one

Since I haven't worked much the past couple of months, going back to full-time is making me feel like a train ran over me !!! lol... I'll get use to it and I'll smile when I see the paycheck !

The countdown is on. We're definitely going to Quebec to celebrate New Years eve with my family. I'm really excited. We're going to leave on the 25Th of December after Christmas Dinner at Davin's parents house. I know , it sounds weird to leave then, but they're won't be any traffic , hopefully... We have a nice 18 hours drive , so we won't be there until the 26Th at the end of the day. But it's alright. It's worth the drive. I can't wait to see my girls ( Sarah & Marjorie ). Jessie is pretty excited also, he'll probably go for a couple of Ski-Do ride with his Uncle Andre. I better get myself a new coat, it's really cold up there !

We're getting Jessie a new bedroom set this week also. We're thinking about getting bunk beds with the Futon at the bottom and the bed at the top. That way, when he has friends coming over for the night, there's always some space. Right now, he has a Queen size bed and it's taking up pretty much the whole room. He has a really small room. Has for X-Mas, no idea what we're going to get him. He wants this football helmet, a football jersey and he's also thinking , that's what he says !

A lazy Saturday with my boy....

Davin is working and Jessie and I are taking it easy. we have plans to stay in our pj's and do nothing. I've been getting up at 5:30am all week and rushing to get ready for work and Jessie ready for school. Not today, I'm enjoying a nice cup of coffee and I have no where to go, feels great !! Until tomorrow, I start a 6 days on at work. That's right from Sunday to Friday, my new schedule .

Last night one of Davin's friend from work came over to visit, John and Beth. They brought their daughter over. Come to find out that Jessie used to go to school with her in Chatham and he took care of her on the school bus ! They used to live in Chatham also, but got out of there...lol...They now live in Amhersburg. What a coincidence that was. Jessie was pretty happy, he played all night with her. Jessie is really good with girls, he has 3 younger sister's at his dad's and 2 cousins in Quebec. So, he knows how to entertain them !

Talking about my girls, today their having a b-day party for my Goddaughter, Marjorie. She will be 6 on the 10th. I bought her present this week online at Toys'r'Us and their is so much stuff for girls , it's crazy ! Leaving you with some pics of Sarah and Majorie when they went out for Halloween !

Let it snow , let it snow ...

No, you aren't dreaming , it's not white sand ,it's snow !! I was at work today and it started snowing really hard. Depressing I tell you, that means that I have to start thinking about my Christmas shopping... Sucks ! I'm not a big fan of Christmas at all... Not sure why ... Davin and Jessie are excited... Besides that pretty quiet. I will be working full time at the cafe starting Monday. I will be working Monday to Friday 8-3 with a raise ! So , I guess that I'll shut up and quit winning and keep working !

Halloween and a visit with the baby !

I had some company yesterday. Carrie and Sean came over and spend the day with me yesterday. That was really nice and Jessie got to hand with his cousin when he came home from school. They're not related, but she's been my best friend for almost 14 years, so to us, that's his aunt and cousin. Jessie is very found of Sean. He loves baby's !

Has for Halloween we went to Chatham at my in-laws. Jessie went out to trick or treat with Grandpa Howie, he had a great time. We came home pretty late and now I have the joy of getting him up for school...that's going to be great !
