Weekend uptade !

we had a pretty quiet weekend after all. Saturday we went and got our Christmas lights to put outside. Has for the tree, we decided to get a real one. We're going to go and cut it the 1st week of December with Davin's parents and his sister. Should be nice, I haven't had a real tree in the house since I was little. Since we're probably going to Quebec on Boxing day, I'm not going to go all the way out with the decorations. Tomorrow is Halloween and Jessie is sick. I hope that he gets better, he's coughing and sneezing. I gave him some medication last night and I guess that we'll do the same tonight to kill the germs. Of course , since Jessie is sick, well I'm sick to and Davin will probably be getting sick this week also !! So, only come over to visit if you've had your flu shot...lol... Sunday we went over to Davin's parents and carved over 13 pumpkins. I'll take some pics tomorrow, it's really festive over there !!

The lady that I had my interview with last Thursday called me back on Friday. She ask me if I was open to work midnights . I like that idea better. No worries about a sitter cause Davin is home and then I can sleep when Jessie is at school. the best part about this job is that it's right here in town and then money is nice. She should be calling me back today or tomorrow. I'm thinking that since she called me back to talk to me the day after , it's a good sign... But we all know my luck. Oh well, I'm off to work today at the cafe ! U guys have a good one.

Party Time !

Well, Jessie is gone to his party and I got some pics of him before he left.Has you can see, he decided to be some kind of vampire... I think that he changed his mind at least 10 times last night when we went to get his costume...lol We have to go and get him in an hour, I hope that he's having a good time !

Besides that , it's a pretty quiet weekend for us. We're going to the Football game at the University of Windsor, it's the finals , Windsor against London. I get to go to work tomorrow night from 6-11pm and Sunday we're going to Chatham ! Have a good one everyone !

A nice day !

Yesterday I got a nice surprise . Tonya came down but she didn't tell me that she was bringing someone with her. The surprise was Sophia , my boss at the restaurant and I was really happy to see her. Sophia wasn't just only my boss she was a real good friend. Sounds cheesy , but I got a bit emotional....lol... I am a very emotional person... So we spend the afternoon chatting , it was really nice.

Last night we took Jessie to the mall to get him a new football jersey, but they were so expensive that we're going to wait. A child's jersey is the same price has an adult, go figure !! It really don't make sense. So, we're going to order it online today , since it' half the price. Even with the exchange , it's still a saving.

Tonight, it's Halloween costume shopping night. There's a gigantic store down the road with all Halloween decorations and costume. Jessie decided last night that he was going to be a devil...

Another interview coming my way today at 10:30. This one is in town and it's for a trucking company. Office work, which is what I really want, because the hours are more secure. Interviews don't even stress me out anymore. Since I moved here, I went to at least 6 of them. Sophia told me that I could have my job back if I wanted !...lol... Have a good day everyone !!

The Weekend

We really didn't do much this weekend. It was a quiet one. We went to visit Carrie, Jeff and Sean. Jessie hadn't seen the baby yet. He pretty hold Sean all night. It was really cute. He was talking to Sean, telling him that when he gets bigger he was going to show him how to play football and what games are cool. It was really cute. Carrie ask him if he would like to have a little brother or sister at home and he said No really fast !!! ...lol.. I would post some pics , but I forgot my camera at home when we went ....Crap ! Carrie was saying that when Sean will be 9, Jessie will be 18... When she said that , it freaked me out a little !

Last night we watch Click. The 3 of us when to see it at the movies when it came out. I knew what was going to happen , but the tears came out anyways.

We still have to figure out what Jessie will be for Halloween this year. He has a party on friday night. My boy's 1st party at a girls house !!! The whole class is going, but still, it's his 1st party ! He's 9, I don't want him to grow up that fast!

It's been a couple of days

Well, I haven't post in a couple of days because it's been really quiet around here. Davin is worked 12 hours shift pretty much all week and he has to work tomorrow. Christmas is coming and we're thinking about going to visit my family in Quebec for New Years. So, I guess that the extra $$ won't hurt. Has for me , well I worked pretty much everyday this week and I have to work on Sunday morning. I have to open the place up. Which is cool. I like to work by myself, no one telling you what to do ! ...lol.. Jessie has a school project where he has to display animals from the Desert. Tonight we have to go to the Dollar store to get him the stuff that he needs. Thank God we live on a beach, there's all the sand that he needs for his project.

Not much going on

Well, went to the interview and it was great. After talking with Davin we decided that I was going to stay at the cafe for now, it's not has complicated. I don't have to worry about a sitter right now, I always start work after Jessie leaves for school and I'm always back before. If I get a job in Windsor, that means searching for a sitter, buying another car, the whole works. So in the end , it's just less of a headache. I don't like it much , but you can't have everything. The boss is pretty much never around, so that's good.

Me and Jessie are starting a new project. We're going to do some scrapbooks. I have so many pictures, it's not even funny. 1st thing 1st we have to go trough the pictures. That's going to be fun. Then I think that I might scanned them all on the computer, that way , there never lost. Not sure, that's going to take me forever !

The Game

Davin went to the football game yesterday and the Lions actually won ! That's their 1st game this year that they win. Davin was pretty happy. It was a good weekend in sports for him. The Tigers won on saturday night. That means that next week, I get to watch the World Series all week !! I think that I might get a hobbie for the next couple of weeks.

I have to work today and then tomorrow it's the big interview. I'm no making a big deal out of it. Knowing my luck... The hours at the cafe are a bit better this week, but I'm pretty sure that next week it's going to be another story. So, I better be safe. We want to go to Quebec for New Years, so I need to make some money !!! Davin hasn't met my family yet and I haven't seen them in almost 2 years. Jessie loves going there, there's always something to do. Lots of good time.

Quiet weekend ahead

I guess that this weekend is going to be a quiet one. Jessie is leaving for the day to go to this friend Jacob's house to play. Might be a sleepover also, not sure. Davin and I are going to do some yard work and maybe go and get some groceries. Depends. Tomorrow he's going to the game with his dad, Lions against Bills. Lions will lose, cause they always do....lol

Has for me, well the lady that had offer me a job with the crappy hours called back yesterday. So, now I get to go in on Monday for an interview. She offered me an 8-5 shift which is perfect. I'm not thinking about it too much cause every time that I do, something bad comes along with it !...lol.. So , we'll just have to wait and see !

What the heck is going on with the weather ???

It is freezing outside ! Of course , Jessie somehow lost his fall coat so we had to go and get him a new one and we also got him a new winter jacket. I don't know how he managed that one. We looked everywhere in the house and the coat is MIA !! Oh well, he needed a new one anyways ! It actually snowed a bit outside at lunch time and now it's raining. About 30 minutes ago the sun was out full blast, it's getting confusing!

I went out again today and brought some more resumes out. I'm not getting enough hours at the coffee shop and we really want to buy our house soon ! So, I need a good job. I got a call about a job, but the hours aren't right. It's from 1pm-9pm Monday to Friday. That means that I would only see Jessie on the weekends and that ain't right. I did that shift before when he was 4 and I hated it. Sure , the money is alright, but I need to see my boy. So, I went to restaurants . I said that when I was moving here that I wasn't going to go back to them, but their isn't a big selection around here, so you take what you can get ! The tips are always good when you are a waitress. I always made really good money at Andy's.

Davin is gone to work for another 12 hours shift and tomorrow he gets to do a 16 hours shift. All the overtime is in. People need their Crown Royal and Smirnoff for Christmas time !!! That's what he does , he works for Seagrams. Another quiet night for Jessie and I. That's alright, tomorrow night there's a haunted house set up at the Municipal park , so Jessie and I will go and get scared !

We got our bedroom set !!!!

It's finally here , after almost 2 months of waiting , we got it !!! I swear , it was like Christmas morning for Davin and I...lol.. To be honest with you, I wasn't even sure what the set actually looked like ! We picked our furniture out on August 17th and it's now October 11th... I can't believe it ! Time does fly... We put all our clothes away and I swear, I'm going to burn all the baskets !...lol.. I was getting so sick of it. All our clothes were in bins and such all over the room. We were never able to find anything, finally it's organize !!!

That's about it for us. Davin is working 12 hours shifts all week , so it's a quiet week for Jessie and I. Lots of quality time ! Enjoy the pics of the new room.

Thanksgiving

The turkey was great and so was everything else. We had a great big one
(16 pounds ) and their was 5 of us, so let's just say that we have lots of leftovers and Davin will be eating turkey and ham this week in his lunch so will Jessie !! It was a beautiful day out, so we got to sit on the beach and chit chat. My father-in-law wasn't able to come since he had to work , but we send him a nice plate home.

we're finally getting our bedroom set after 2 months of waiting patiently for it. Although, my patience was starting to thin out ! With all our bitching, we got a set of lamps to go with it. Whatever you do, don't believe everything that Leon's says !!

We went to Davin's friend wedding last night and we had a good time. The bride was beautiful and the groom looked great. Too bad I didn't get any pictures of them ! lol... They were walking around all night talking with people, by the time they got to our table... I was out of pics in my camera !!! Oh Well ! The dinner was nice and we had fun , so that's all that matters. Theirs a few pics of Davin and the boys !

Thank God it's the weekend !

Well, I made it to the interview, but I won't get an answer for at least 2-3 weeks. Which sucks big time ! The guy that did the interview was really nice and easy to talk to. The pay is great and the hours are banking hours , which is also great. So, I guess that we'll just have to wait and see. I'll keep my job at the Cafe in the meantime and I'll still be looking.

This weekend looks like a busy one. Tomorrow we have the wedding and I have to work in the morning for a couple of hours. Sunday I have to make my pies and such for the Thanksgiving dinner on Monday. Davin's parents and sister are coming over and my mom and Mark. It should be a good time. This year, I get to make the dinner . Thanksgiving is the only time that I enjoy cooking. Although, I have been doing better lately...lol... Well, I hope that everyone has a good Turkey Time !!!

I got a funny one for you ....

So, has you all know I'm looking for another job because the Cafe isn't my thing after all. I get this call yesterday from Kelcom, which is where I faxed a resume this weekend. I'm all excited cause it's a good job and the money is good. She tells me to come in today for the interview at 4pm. So, we go and get Jessie after school and we drive all the way there. Which is about 20 minutes from here. Get there , come to find out that she gave me the wrong day. The interview isn't until tomorrow !!! She apologize and ask me to come back tomorrow... Now, we have to drive all the way there again tomorrow... I better get this job, that's all I have to say !!

The new job ...

Well, I've been working for a couple of days at the Cafe now and I've come to the conclusion that I don't like it ! I liked it at first , but now, I'm looking for something else. The boss , Al is very annoying, always watching what you do , telling you what to do... I ain't use to that at all . At Andy's , Winston and Sophia trusted me, very rarely would they tell me what to do. So, I emailed a couple of resume this weekend and I have an interview on Thursday afternoon at Kelcom. The pay is way better and so are the hours. Yesterday I was supposed to work from 6:30-2 which is my regular shift at the cafe, but it was so dead , that he send me home at 11, that sucked big time .

Jessie is doing good. He has a school trip today at the Zoo in Windsor and it's raining like hell here. So, I'm not sure that he's going to enjoy it.

Well, that's about it for us. I'm off to do some shopping for a outfit . We have a wedding on Saturday , a friend of Davin's, and I don't have anything to wear. So, I'm off to my favorite store, Old Navy, to find something . Have a good day

A nice surprise !

My friend Megan and her son Michael came down from Chatham yesterday. That was a really nice surprise , I hadn't seen them since I moved here. Jessie was pretty excited, he love's his Aunt Megan !!! So, we had dinner and went to the park. We got caught in the rain and it was raining really bad...lol . The park is only a 5 minute walk from here , but by the time we got to my house , we were soak !!!! But, besides that , it was all fun. I have to work tonight from 4-8 to learn the closing process, so I guess it's going to be a lazy day for us around here. We rented some movies yesterday, Fast & Furious ( for Davin and Jessie ) Lucky number Slevin (for me . But by the time we were on to the second movie, I was sleeping on the couch...I guess I'll be watching that movie shortly. Have a good day !
